2010 marks the 76^th year of the National Baseball Congress World Series dating back to 1935 when Raymond “Hap”  Dumont, then a Wichita sporting goods salesman, offered Satchel Paige $1,000 to bring his team to Wichita and compete in the first ever NBC World Series.  The BaseballSavings.com™ 76^th Annual NBC World Series begins Friday, July 30^th and will crown a champion on Friday, August 13^th at Lawrence-Dumont Stadium.

2010 NBC Midwest Regional and 76th Annua

The 2010 NBC Midwest Regional will be held at Lawrence-Dumont Stadium beginning on Friday, July 16th and concluding on Thursday, July 22nd.  The Regional will again consist of twelve teams in a double elimination tournament, with the winner receiving a berth to the NBC World Series.  The bracket will be filled with the first twelve teams who send their entry fee to the NBC Office.

The 76th Annual NBC World Series will be held at Lawrence-Dumont Stadium beginning on Friday, July 30th and concluding with the Championship Game on Friday, August 13th.  The tournament will be a double elimiination tournament, with teams either qualifying through Regional Tournaments or winning League Championships.

National Baseball Congress, Pepsi Announ

WICHITA, KS- The National Baseball Congress and Pepsi Cola announced a five-year partnership on Thursday.

"Pepsi is a brand that's known worldwide and we are delighted to be working with them for the next five seasons", said NBC General Manager Josh Robertson.  "We've had a great relationship with Coca Cola over the last six years, but this was a great opportunity to gain tremendous exposure for our organization."

The partnership takes place immediately and makes Pepsi Cola the official soft drink provider at Lawrence-Dumont Stadium.

"We are very excited to be working with the NBC", said Pepsi Cola's New Business Sales Manager Steve King.  "They have offered a great product for fans of all ages over the last seventy-five years and we are proud to now be a part of that."
