2009 Events

Gallery XII's featured artists for the month of May are oil painter Diane Curtis and consignment ceramist David Long. Diane is exhibiting her latest contemporary landscapes and David is showing his highly decorative stoneware pieces. There will be showing till May 27th.

The following month of June our featured artist will be painter Maureen Walter. Her opening reception will be on Final Friday May 29th from 6-10 pm.

We are also happy to present three new members to Gallery XII: Painter Diane Warta, and Photographers Bob Benson & Justin Bayles.

Starting this coming summer Gallery XII is establishing; with the Upfront Gallery and the Artists of Old town the 412 Art Center. As a new art orientated organization these three groups are planning a variety of new events and activities in the coming year. They will include special exhibitions, artist demonstrations, gallery talks and much more.

About Gallery XII

An Art Gallery in Old Town Wichita featuring original works of art.

Gallery XII, the winner of the 2004 Arts Advocate-Group Award by the Wichita Arts Council, is an artists's cooperative fine art gallery located in Wichita's Old Town District. The gallery was established in 1977 and showcases the diversity of the fine arts in the Wichita area by exhibiting the works of over 30 local & regional artists (19) member/partners & 15+consignment artists), in a wide range of different media, styles & subject matter.

The Gallery represents a diverse variety of two- dimensional original fine art. Media includes watercolor, oil, acrylic, pastel, printmaking and photography. Images range from traditional to abstract. Also available is a selection of fine original pottery, sculpture, and hand blown glass.

Whether you are interested in viewing art, selecting a gift or acquiring an addition to your own collection, Gallery XII invites you to visit. A cooperative leasing plan is also available, as well as lay-a-way and gift certificates.
