2009  ***CHILTON’S 63RD YEAR IN BUSINESS***

In 1946 shortly after returning from 3 years in the U S Army during World War II, Stan Chilton purchased 14 pinball machines from his deceased father’s estate using his U.S. Army mustering out pay and a loan from a business friend.  The business grew rapidly and became well known for excellent service, honesty and always using the latest equipment.

Other types of products were soon added including jukeboxes, pool tables, video and other amusement machines, soft drink, candy and gumball machines.  These were installed in amusement parks, big box stores, movie theaters, bowling alleys, etc. In 1998 the vending and amusement division of the company was sold to a national publicly traded company.

 THE RETAIL SALES of billiards, spas, bar stools, shuffleboards, game room and recreation room furniture was retained as Chilton Billiards.
