Job Description:
Provides guidance and direction in assisting clients to meet their wellness/nutrition needs
through programs, services and individualized services. Provides specialized expertise for
cardio-pulmonary rehabilitation or other specific programs. Continuously improves processes and services.
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
•Knowledge in the areas of health promotion and fitness.
•Demonstrates effective verbal and written communication skills.
•Demonstrates the ability to work in multiple task environments.
•Ability to perform basic clinical functions such as blood pressure, heart rate, height and weight, target heart rate, rate of perceived exertion scale, glucose checks, and body compositions to assist in providing a healthy, lifestyle behavior modification program to participants.
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
•Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition.
LICENSURE OR REGISTRATION REQUIRED:
•Healthcare Provider CPR certification
•Registered Dietitian status with the American Dietetic Association
PREFERRED EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
0ne to two years experience in practicing therapeutic dietetics in a clinical or community setting,
particularly in areas of lipid disorders, obesity, diabetes, and hypertension
